i wanted to do this but my shop said it would be a bitch to drill thru those plastic inserts, so i gave up

Hmmm ... that's not as bad as I expected. All things considered, this may actually be the simplest, cleanest, and cheapest way to go. The more room you have, the better you can fab mounting for the fixtures, so this could really save in the long run.

I might have my car on a lift tomorrow, If I do, I try to check and measure the depth of the space behind the area we are talking about.

^^ Pfff...Have you ever tried using them though? I can't even tell the difference when they're on.

if you really want that mod get rid of the reservior tank.trust me is doable u need a custom shop 2 help you out imo

It has been a while since I have posted. As for space behind where I installed the lights, not so much. I had to move the water resevior a little I believe. Been a while.

I was at the shop earlier today. My cousin(the owner) told me it wouldn't be a problem to install it. Said it would cost me around 200-300 for the brackets(or rings w/e they are called) to hold them in place and the lights. I'm not sure how soon I'm willing to do this because I'm up for a paint job this week so doesn't seem like it will be real soon.
