First off, he was being sarcastic. Second, how does someone else's accomplishments with their car affect the pride you have in your car? Enough time, money, and knowledge can make nearly any car a beast. I've seen some pretty fast Neons out there and can't say I'd be proud to own one.
Hey, maybe you're right. I was just assuming the missed sarcasm based on a couple other posts of his.
Oh! on our G's. Well, i know i am doing something wrong b/c the book says 5.2sec, and i am only pulling 6.1 right now. Maybe i should try it w/ the VDC off and i can get what the book says.
^ By book, do you mean magazines tests? I've just never seen 0-60 times in manuals. Maybe I'm being silly here, you do mean magazines when you say "the book"
I personally have never tried but the folks that test stock cars take an average time. I'm sure on several occasions they were only able to pull a 6.1 as well, but by the end of the day they totaled all the time and got an average. With this damn touch clutch I doubt I could get 5. anything, and i've been driving clutch since 1995

well, i am going to try it w/ the VDC off next time when ever i get around to it. I know the VDC kicks in at 2600RPM and just shuts down the engine. so i tried 2400 rpm and got the those numbers. I really want to take my car to the track and learn how the car handles.
