Iphone Sirius XM app and integration question
Iphone Sirius XM app and integration question
First post: I just picked up my '07 G35X, slate blue, bl leather int, prem, No tech, No Nav yesterday. (AMAZING car in every way, especially since I was driving a '99 Grand Am before with no power steering, no fuel guage, one working speaker, etc.
)
I only have a lighter adapter, and the 3 RCA plugs in my console and want to hook up my iPhone4 to the car. Reading other posts I understand I should buy a genuine Apple RCA cable to start with and go through the bluetooth for the phone.
For Satellite radio I was thinking of getting the Sirius XM app for the iPhone, and streaming it into G35x via the RCA plugs while on the go...
Short of some crazy hard/expensive/unsupported mods, is this my best option, and how much data gets downloaded when playing this app?
Any other suggestions to get the most from the iPhone/MP3/SATRADIO/NAV?
Thanks in advance and please take it easy on me if I broke any forum etiquette or rules...

My wife uses the SiriusXM app through an Aux port on her car. It works fine for the most part, except it has some problems after receiving a call (sometimes the app stalls until you restart it after a call). I believe the SiriusXM app uses a lot of data, however I have no hard numbers for you since I'm lazy.
The app is cheaper than subscribing with the car's SiriusXM unit, however I would personally prefer having the song/station info on the LCD screen and the integrated steering wheel controls. Its a matter of personal preference.
