Seriously though plastidip is great for some applications and the fact that you can go back to stock in minutes is the biggest plus, so if you wanna see how something would look if painted black its a great product.
This is very true, I wish I had known about it before I sanded and painted my oem wheels! I've done the trim and grille and plan to dip the wheels as well...

Also I hear they are now making plastidip in different colors! Can anyone confirm this?

^yup, i think they have a clearcoat now too.

"NEW! Create Your Color Clear! Our new 22 oz. package utilizes the same redesigned container as the Create Your Color Kit and can be used as a clear dip coating or in combination with the specially formulated tints to create a multitude of colors for a multitude of projects. "

smh, plastidip doesn't even look good, it's all orange peely & had a rubbery texture. I used it on my spare grill and hated it. Only thing it works well on is blacking out ur rear emblems cuz you don't need to remove them, but doing wheels, exhaust tips, roofs, mirrors, grills etc doesn't look good.

^ it really depends how it was applied. It's smooth otherwise.

Also, here's a cheaper alternative to see how black tips would look.

Cool

Plasti-dipped my rims and they look great, compliments all around! Been on the car for about 4 months now and not a single chip mark. V36 sport rims, 18's. Say whatever, I get compliments of my job all the time, car is white.

It's more of a personal preference, I did it as a trial, and it turned out a lot better than I expected. Five coats, and bam done. I can easily peel it off right now if I wanted too. Instead got MMR HR2 rims, so just switched them couple weeks back.

Plasti dipping rims FTW. If done properly.

No orange peel or anything, no cracks, simply black. Don't color the lug nuts or Infiniti logo, and you should come out with a sliver black contrast. ENJOY!
