mine is only that bad because I was in the car for like almost 2 hours with it on, and it dropped from 20mpg average
I'm in Canada and swap in tires on plain rims in the winter. I don't have TPMS sensors on that set of wheels. The light flashes for the first minute or so after an engine start and then stays steady for the rest of the trip.
Not sure what it does when pressure is low.

When i switch my stock wheels back on the light turns off within a few miles because all of my tpms work. As for my summer wheels the light is always on because the TPMS are out of battery.
I recommend you try the paperclip trick or go to a belle tire and ask them to reset it for you.
Why does everyone keep saying that if the light remains on, then your system is malfunctioning???
On my car, if I have a tire with low pressure, the light comes on and remains illuminated steadily (not blinking/flashing) until I air up the tire; that's been normal operation for mine so I don't think it means that the system is broken.

When my tires developed slow leaks I consistently had this light go on (nearly once a week for several months), and sure enough the tire pressures were low in 2/4 tires. Taking down the tires, removing the rim corrosion and adding sealant prior to remounting tires = light is gone x 3 months.
Looks like you pulled that shot while driving down the road and turning, at least you used your turn signal though.
Just kidding with ya.
nope since some people dont even have tpms
but if you do have tpms your tires pressure is either high or low depending on the temperature or if you suck at inflating your tires to the proper psi levels

Many of us that put on snow wheels/tires (without monitors) have that light on for 5-6 months. No problems. The light goes out when we put our summer (with monitors) wheels back on.

Should be around 33-34psi.
Check them and fill them when the tires are cold.
