Ew !! Too much $
And no performance since it keeps the 2" piping instead of upgrading it

I have an 06 g35 coupe with all stock exhaust system and it's too quiet for my taste. I wanna get it louder but don't wanna buy a whole system so will removing the resonators make it sound loud and racey?

GUYS. we drive nice cars. do you know who else cuts out their resonators to get a cheap exhaust? Honda Civic owners. this is guaranteed to sound raspy as hell aka Crap, offer no performance increase and is a Waste of money. if you cant afford to do an exhaust just take off the rear mufflers for the time being until you can save up money for a good one. hacking off resonators or just modifying the existing stock exhaust is the best way to turn a $35K car into a $10k sounding one.

I'm only 17 with my g35 lol so Im not trying to spend like 600 for an exhaust system lol. So is there ones any cheaper that can make the car sound sporty? Maybe around $300 or $350? Thanks

Just get some HFC's or a new y-pipe and that should give you a little more grunt out of the exhaust. Y-pipe will be a bit raspy from what I have heard though. That will range anywhere from $150-500 for one or the other.

This is the least amount you'll spend for a brand new "almost" complete exhaust, this connects to the factory Y pipe, so not quite a cat-back but more than an axle-back system. You may be able to find a used axle-back for under $400 now & then.

A cat-back means it's the exhaust that mounts right behind the stock catalytic converters (it replaces the Y pipe, the resonator (or mid-pipe) section, and the mufflers & exhaust tips.
The Y-back, like the TopSpeed system I mentioned a couple posts above, mounts to the stock Y-pipe back to the end.
The axle back mounts to the stock mid-pipe, so it's basically just a new set of mufflers & tips.
In short, the catback is the most complete, the axle back is the most basic, the Y-back is in between.
HopeThatHelps
