Navigation DVD OEM Navi GPS ORIGINAL CD DVD DISC
????
is it like a software install into your car, then your car has GPS or?? i dont understand it..

There is no link to what you posted... but im guessing you found this DVD disc online which is just a map that is used to update maps in older 1st gen infiniti's, even then its just a DVD to updated your EXISTING navigation system, just the disc alone without all the navi hardware installed in your car from factory wont work.
Since you have a 2008 G35, you have a hard drive based navigation and can NOT be updated through discs, you must buy a code online and take to a dealer to update.
However, if your car didnt come with factory navigation then getting a DVD or update code wont get you navi, you have to get all the hardware which would cost you around $2000 from what i remember from a quote a user posted long time back.
