hey there last night when i was installing my new exhaust, i realized it does not fit around a weight hanging on what i suspect to be the transfer case. it looks like a brick.

i was just wondering if this weight is safe to remove, or will there be vibrations, etc?

p.s. i have a 2007 G35x
p.p.s. i looked under a 2008 G35xS and the weight was not there...

 

you bought the new ark awd exhaust im assuming?

 

I had the same issue.. I took it off and have not had any issues but im getting a new exhaust on Friday that fits around it so im going to put it back on

 

yeeea cant wait to put it on lmao tomorrow is the install day yesterday was "fitment day" haha the tips are sexy as hell

I have an Invidia modded for the x, it hit the weight so I took it off. Im buying a RWD ark that was modded for the x on friday and I know that it works with the weight so im putting the weight back on

 

I took that weight off years ago and never had any issues from doing so.

 

The dealer told me that the weights fall out on there own anyway.
