Does a 2008 G35 sedan auto have a tranny cooler?
Yes, and when I routed tranny lines directly to the Stillen radiator (I though i don't need it for our hot summer) I got the limp mode very fast when racing the car and then driving/stopping in the traffic! Built-in tranny cooler/heater doesn't allow the tranny oil to overheat even in the traffic jams because of the connection to the engine radiator (it turns the fan on and cools the radiator with the tranny oil section).
update: Connected the lines correctly. Drained the pan and filled the pan about 3.5 quarts or so. Disconnected the return line, turned the car on which got out about 3.5 quarts. So about 7 ish quarts maybe a lil more. Added more fluid and everything is good. The tranny was shifting perfectly before and does the same now. Glad I caught it early and my wife as the driver.
ah shoot, sorry about that, didnt realize that. this thread came up in a search so my bad. but any help is appreciated if anyone knows anything.
No problem, I just figured you'd get more/better results asking over there.
ill just lay underneath with the car running and pull one of the hoses off. it will either be coming out the hose or out the hard line, that will tell me which is which. thanks
