I thought about that, too. Given my schedule it could be done in a week and, as already mentioned, might require driving the car partially wrapped for a while.

Some areas are easy to do, especially with large sections of available wrap, but large areas can prove... challenging.

Which wrap were you looking at? $200 seems like a really good deal. Cheapest roll i could find would set me back about $500 with tax.

very nice... now some small finishing touches it will look even better. This post about vinyl wraps brought me to a questions.
What would you guys think about a black vinyl wrapped roof for my slate blue sitting on the sport wheels it has? will it look sketchy? ... I've noticed a lot of hard water spots on the roof and I am thinking about blacking it out. Anyone have any pics of a slate with blacked out roof?

Overall, your paint should remain intact that entire time, so it's like putting the existing paint condition in suspended animation.

I've been thinking about doing this for a while, but every shop i've been to wanted upwards of $3k for the whole car.
wow 3k for the whole car thats crazy when people where quoted me at 2500 i was like no i knew i could find someone to do it for me for cheaper and i did and now this week he going to show me how to wrap and take out marks and scrapes so now i won't ever have to get it done again but someone else i know there is alot of patience but if i have the time then im going to do it myself im waiting on the carbon fiber material because im going to wrap my spoiler in it.

Just checked out that Rvinyl site, seems that their wraps are only available in 24" widths, wonder how you'd wrap w/ such narrow strips?
Pretty good deals on clearbra film though, like 60 bucks for the entire bumper & hood w/ squeegee & apllicator. I might use Dr paintchip then try this stuff.
