Yeah you can make it 2.25 all the way from the cat flange (where it bolted to the old Y pipe). Took it to the shop today and they quoted me $35 for the new piping and labor. Getting it taken care of next week.

 

Alright blue, just got it done today! I'm happy with the mod, was it worth it umm ya i guess cost was a little more than you 70 for the part 60 for the install $130..... I got it done from the cat from where you want to get it redone. So far on the 15 min drive home sound wise, almost stock quite until you give it some gas. Now it has a nice deep sound to the exhaust, def. really happy about that! Power wise I did notice a difference, car feels a lot more balance in the power, and I do feel a stronger pull, so I guess another plus. I will update again once I drive a little more!

 

Glad to hear it. I had a discount on my parts and labor because of where I work. Next week Im going back in for the rest of the pipe to get fixed up. Yeah keep me posted on it. I really wish I had a before and after dyno for it!

 

Blue it would be great if you did or I, but I can back you up it does help make the power on the car a lot smoother I think, and I do feel the extra torque....

ok ok! i am , can i go wider than 2.25 in, say 2.5/3 inch? or would that not fit?

 

I think 2.25 or 2.5 would be fine. I wouldn't go 3 inch personally. Its all up to you.

I thinking going from our factory 2.25 to a 3 inch xpipe back to 2.25 would change the exhaust flow in a complelely different way...changing the scavaging effect more. The change in back pressure might make it act differently. Personally I wont go 3 inch unless I was turbo or supercharged.

yeah stock we are a meazly 2.25. Up to you though, I think either way you will like it.
