Just a little added message from a guy who messed up and got a couple DUI's, driving under suspension, a couple fender benders, and many speeding tickets over my young years (managed to do all this with hondas that had less than half the power of a VQ35HR).....do it right the first time and drive responsibly.
Especially since you might be driving a G which in my humble opinion no 17yr old should be starting off with.
(yawn) My first car, purchased in 1999 at the age of 16, was a '93 Civic Lx four door (1.5liter 106hp beast) with 132,000 miles which i BOUGHT FROM my dad for $2,000. Not far off from trade in. You're getting hooked up- make it right and pay your dad back some day in some way.

damn bro i thought i was lucky, i got mine this february and i was 19 haha i cant even imagine if i had this at 17. i think you should get whatever colors you like. except for serengeti sand. lol i waited a month for the colors i wanted (black on black) and even then i had to drive 4 hours to get it. i think youre dads reasoning about getting laser red is just silly, but i guess you have to listen to him as he is helping you pay

Enjoy your new G35, but PLEASE do treat it with respect. It is a fast car and even with all the computers and gadgetry, they wouldn't make you a better driver so know the car's limits. Drive carefully.
I'm 25, have a job, and I pay everything on my G.... your mindset will be totally different when you're actually paying for the car with your own money (car payments, gas, insurance, maintenance). I wouldn't let anyone drive it unless I'm in the car.
Consider yourself lucky!

Purchasing it used (so it's not even close to 30k)... Even if it was why are you surprised. There are many kids my age that drive much nicer cars, which I say "Congrats" to, lol.
I'm sorry if I'm coming off as a little punk because I'm not one, I was just trying to gather some people's opinions
