Ok mystery solved - thanks guys.

My mirror doesn't have one the way my Maxima did - clearly because I have Nav.

So can somebody tell me where in the hell it is on the Nav screen? All I see is which direction is north.....if I use my brain and process things for a few seconds I can look at the map and figure out which direction I'm going - but I would much prefer a good ole compass to be on my dash. And I ain't buying a $2.00 auto parts store one and sticking it to my dash!

For 08+ if you have nav then the compass has been moved to nav with no compass in mirror, in 07s its in the nav and mirror.

Ok, so where in the nav is it? I'm to stupid to locate it.

 

Well its not really an explicit compass from what i know, its just an arrow that will show show you where North is and you take it from there, the logic presented was that if you have nav why would you need a compass.

However im sure you can get compass directions by going into navigation satellite menu, it would be a pain to have to do so much to get a compass though.

There is not an actual compass display on the nav screen. Nothing that reads N,S,NE,SW etc.
Just look at the north arrow on the right. For example, if it's pointing right then you are heading west (if you are in a display like birdview).

 

Because I'm stupid and have zero sense of direction. I have to use GPS to get almost everywhere.

Trying to break that habit and knowing which way I'm going is a baby step.

What kind of detector is that farhan? cobra?

 

mine is an 08. my compass only points North on the GPS. that is all i need.

 

I have been thinking about this a LOT the past week as the G35s I have detailed have all had it. The 08 G37S coupe I did had it in the mirror as well, and he had a Nav package.... anyone care to enlighten me or are the coupes different??

 

There's no mirror compass in the +09 G37 sedans that have Nav.
