Those really do look nice, if you get em painted red or blue they are really worth it just for looks, but like others said the OEM silver is hardly noticeable.

I got mine for $1000 even!! Not so bad of a price!! But a couple of months ago they were selling a set for the same price with OEM slotted and drilled rotors!! Keep searching! EBay, Z forums, G37forums, G35forums! You will find them!

Thinking of replacing my AP Racing frt bbk and oem rears with the f&r Akebono bbk from Czp.The cost to replace pads and rotors for the front and buying an AP Racing rear bbk is more expensive than Akebonos that are powdercoated.

Not necessarily, if done correctly it stands out

Well, I got mine Akebonos 2 months ago and really LOVE them! I was concerned about the weight savings too as I use very light 18" OZ Ultraleggeras (no spacers needed) + Michelin PS2. So I bought DBA5000 slotted 2pc rotors for the front and got Stoptech slotted rotors for the rear (to match front slotting). I can say that potholes fell harsher even with this combo, but not too bad.

But hey, my brake set stops VERY good, as I use Ferodo DS2500 racing pads (not the crap like stock or Hawk's). They do squeal a little sometimes, but that's a fair cost!

I considered about the Wilwood 13" kit too, but their front kit doesn't have piston seals! And it's a no-go for local dusty and dirty roads, especially at winter.
