G37 Sport Conversion w/ ICC

Has anyone converted their G35 Sport w/ Intelligent Cruise Control to the newer G37 Sport front end w/ ICC? Just checking if there are any issues with lining up the sensor.

from all the conversdions i have see, i havent seen anyone who has a ICC do it yet. I myself wanna do it but i have the ICC and that is my 1st question. might have to look into how the new bumper has the ICC setup, and see it is similar to the old setup

I have G35x with the ICC and Journey bumper and it's impossible to do ANY bumper conversion because of the ICC's lining (the sensor is right under drivers headlight)

My dealer quoted me $2500- to move the sensor to the other position.
I opted not to pay that.

I can't be that hard right? How much does a 2010+ harness kit run? I'm sure there is a much cheaper way to do this.

A few years back. I cracked the front bumper skin on the a$s of a coyote. I spoke to the service peeps and they told me that swapping to the sport bumper was a simple thing.

I ordered it, they painted it and when they went to put it on, the sensor didn't line up.

They quoted me $2500 to move the sensor. They wouldn't make a customer bracket for liability reasons so they wanted to sell me a Sport sensor, since the bracket is built in and places the sensor where it needs to be. I opted out and then they tried charging me for the part, paint and labor. I reminded them that they told me it would work so I was able to get out of it... but yeah, I tried.

In fact, I was the first with ICC to attempt it if I remember correctly. I immediately came here and sounded the alarms so nobody else fell into the same problem.

Just jerry rig the sensor into the new bumper with an Xacto knife and some duct tape.

i beleive it is not that easy - ICC sensor calcutales the distance rather precisely and probably won't work in other place (or will give the wrong data that is dangerous!)

I don't get this. What possible difference would it make if your car thinks it's an inch or so closer/further to the car in front of you ?

Maybe it will work if the new mounting place will be reachable for the connecting wires...
