it does but i dont think its serviceable, in the sense that you need to replace the sensor when its dead but it should last at least 5yrs/60k before going out depending on how much you drive.

When/if mine go out they're going in the trash without replacement. If you can't visually tell if a tire is low you shouldn't be driving in the first place

I sort of agree. To me the whole point of having a TPMS in a vehicle should be to indicate which tire is low otherwise (like our Infiniti) it's useless.
But you are right, we should inspect our vehicles, especially the tires, but most people don't.

you are 100% correct, once it fails, it has to be replaced

Does anyone know offhand if these are covered under the Elite extended warranty?

One of our excellent service advisors says that Elite covers quite a bit, but you'll just have to call your local dealership for a true Yes or No

Just get THIS when your tpms fails, iv had them for over 2 years and they tell you the exact pressure and temp in each tire in real-time which actually is helpful and useful unlike the OEM one which is not as useful since you dont know which tire is low and by how much

If you have the light on either you need air or it needs to be replace. When i got mine replace, the battery in one of them was dead and they told me they just replaced it

Just checked with my service guy; he confirmed the Elite Extended warranty does indeed cover TPMS. I guess I will get mine taken care of then.

Thanks to all.
The issue with mine is that when I start the car, it blinks for a minute and then it stays on.
My tires pressure are ok.

I found possible causes:

1- The fuse for combination meter from battery is pulled out.
Check the fuse for combination meter from battery. Install
or replace (if needed).

2- BCM connector pulled out.
Check BCM connector. Reconnect if needed.

3- Low tire pressure or tire pressure monitoring system malfunction.

- Perform CONSULT-III Self-Diagnosis. Refer to WT-12,
"AIR PRESSURE MONITOR: CONSULT-III Function (BCM - AIR PRESSURE MONITOR)".

- Perform ID Registration if needed. Refer to WT-5, "ID REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
: Special Repair Requirement

Does it cover reprogramming the sensors? I came to the dealer earlier this week due the TPMS light flashing and then turning solid. Turns out they had to be reprogrammed for reasons I was told that "it happens sometimes" but I did absolutely nothing with the tires. I was still charged labor although I have Elite extended coverage.

I guess I won't know for sure until I've actually done it, but they guy did say so. I wonder if perhaps your deductable was involved in your being billed for labor?
