most people who do this replace the y with the magnaflow resonated x as well.

^^ do this or you will have rasp. removing the stock resonators generates a ton of rasp. adding aftermarket mufflers to that will only make it worse. you might be better off just buying a tannabe axleback. you can find them in the mid 500s.

Tanabe Axleback Tanabe Axleback

i can do the mufflers and even add the "x" for probably 3-400. so its really tempting. might just do the mufflers first and then change out the y later and run all new pipe. i like the sound of the one in that video... off to youtube for a lil bit

Ive got everything priced out, looking at 300 installed for 2 mufflers 2 tips and new pipe from the resonators back. Should be ordering the mufflers in this week. Tryign to decide on the round body or the oval body mufflers.

Keep us posted! I think we are all interested, lol! I've done this on previous cars, but never on a G. The other cars turned out great!

Actually, I saw a 2nd Sedan with the same set up! He just removed stock mufflers and put aftermarket ones. Got some OEM looking exhaust tips! Sound was amazing, kinda like the old G35s coupes!

I did this with my 07 s, I wanted the stock look. I had a custom Exhaust mad from the y pipe back, 2 3/4 inch. I had the shop cut my tips off the stock exhaust. The tips had to be opened up a bit to slip over the aftermarket tip. I'll try to get some pics up.

I will say that I do get rasp at start up, then goes away after warm up. I have no resonators also

I have Magnaflow mufflers with stock tips. Megan HFC's with custom piping to the mufflers. I have some drone because of the piping so I will be replacing with the straight pipes with a X-pipe.
