debadged
I liked my lettering from the factory until I first saw a debadged G Coupe in person. Much prefer the cleaner debadged look now (but I still have a thing for Mt Fuji too)
i used a fishing line to remove the letters then i scratched off the glue as much as i can with my finger nails. after i wiped it with goo gone then scratch the remainder of the glue spots and wiped it with goo gone. the letters took about am hour lol.
I used a hair dryer to heat the letters first. It makes them come off a lot easier. Just heat one letter, remove w/ fishing line or dental floss, then re-heat the remaining tape left behind and peel as much of that off w/ you fingers & fingernails, just don't do any gouging. The remaining tape residue can be removed w/ bug&tar remover or goo-gone. My Infiniti & G37 letters took about a half hour to remove & clean up. I then just put down some spray wax and that cleaned up the very slight ghosting left from the letters. If your car has spent a fair amount of time in the sun you may have to clay-bar the area where the badges were since there may be slight fading leaving a darker image where the letters previously were.
You guys do know there's a thing called Adhesive remover (3M) sold in any auto store in a spray can right? Just asking since I'm seeing all types of methods to remove the glue, from WD40 to Nail polish. Why not use a product that was intended to do what you're trying to do? Just asking. BTW I debadged mine as well just left the MT Fuiji symbol on, much cleaner look and wax doesn't get caught between the letters anymore (there are none
