Front Chin Spoiler installation

I just purchased an OEM front chin spoiler for my 08' G35x Sedan. The price was right, under $300 shipped, and it came color matched, all hardware and instructions included. Problem is that the instruction manual has 50+ steps for what I would consider a "simple" installation : double-sided tape, a few screws, templates, clamps, 24-hours with no rain, relatively warm day, etc etc. Who here has been brave enough to do it, and is it simple, or would I have a better shot to just take it to a professional body shop? I wouldn't want to drill holes myself, nor do I have the time right now to attempt it yet.

Ideas anyone?

I have to admit I am a novice when it comes to wrench work on my car. Installing this lip was probably one of the first things I ever did to my car myself. I was a lil intimidated at first, but if you follow the included instruction and use the template properly, you can definitely do it yourself with ease. It took me couple of hours to do since I really took my time with every lil step. Once I had finished, I was definitely happy that I was able to do it on my own instead of paying someone. It helps to have a helping hand when you line up the lip to the bumper. If you don't have someone nearby, you can use some boxes or something to hold up the lip on both sides.

I installed it on my 07x. Holes are necessary, so if its not something you're comfortable i'd leave it to a bodyshop to do. Cutting the templates, aligning them perfectly, taping it, drilling etc.. not difficult, but just very tedious and something you want to take your time doing to get it right. I think it took me maybe 2-3 hours to do.

Tbh I didn't even read the instructions once to install mine. I just jacked my car up, test fitted the lip and marked where the holes lined up, drilled the holes, bolted it on then unpeeled the double sided tape. Real easy install but the instructions make it 50x more confusing.

Hey, I got the lip from Tunerzstore.com. Call in, ask for Mike, they have, per his words, "plenty in stock, price is $276 shipped." At least that was to Central NJ, shipping costs may vary slightly but overall, better than paying $350++. I'll get pics in once I finish it tomorrow. Instructions caution against any water around the area for at least a day, and it looks like I'll be clear till Tuesday so we're in business.

...this WAS supposed to be the stock family car. Got bitten by the mod-bug at the Nissan meet, wheels / GTspec bar / de-chrome / exhaust coming up next! Damn.

I put the order 2 weeks ago, must have been on sale then. I just noticed the price is up to $300. Call and ask if they can honor the price. Pics coming soon.

Install completed. Wasn't as difficult as I thought, but the manual makes it seem impossible. The piece fits tight, so I used it as a template for the drilling. I put the car on jacks to lift the front, used every bit of hardware provided, and done.

The shine of the front spoiler seems to highlight the scratches, rock chips and every defect on the bumper itself, oh well..
