Thin wall spark plug socket

I went to change the plugs in my g35 today and the socket I had wouldn't fit down in the well. There is an edge that holds it up. I tried to get a thin wall socket locally with no luck. Anyone else run into this? I tried all the 5/8 ones I had and even went and bought a 16mm with no good result. Arrugh!

Seach Button Is Key!

You are not using a thin wall socket or you got the wrong spark plugs? I know im right cause i have the socket and have already changed my plugs.

Dude our plugs require a 14mm. That is why it isn't working. I recently ran into the same issue and realized that the wrong plugs were shipped out so I bought the wrong spark plug tool at OSH when matching it up with the new plugs. You may have bought the wrong plugs as well. Or you are just using the wrong socket to take them out.

EDIT: Also, our plugs take a little extra searching to find. Even some sponsored shops on the forums don't carry the set.

Once again, if you have a 2007-2008 G35 sedan and you are changing spark plugs, you NEED a 14mm socket. A thin walled 16mm MIGHT fit but won't work.

For the life of me, I cannot figure why this is so complicated for some people to grasp.
