Tire Choice, Narrowed down to 2, Help me decide

Narrowed it down to the Yokohama YK580 and the General G-MAX AS-03. Size is 225/45/19 on the G37 sport 19s. These would be my YEAR ROUND wheel/tire set up. Any input/experience or votes helps me. im planning on making a purchase very soon.

Your choices are fairly limited for an economical tire on those 19" rims. Have you considered possibly trying a 235/45-19 or a 235/40-19 ? They are about 1.3% taller and 2.1% shorter in diameter (respectively) than the 225/45's you're looking for, so not really a big deal. Maybe you'll come up with some other options that way. :dunno:

IMO pirellis yokohama michellin and kumho are the brands I trust

Sunny's ftw! Korean tires ftmfw!

Nah but yokos are good tires

mroadster2k Dec 9, 2011 10:24 PM

Yokohamas are good tires, but also look at the Kuhmos. I picked up the Ecsta LX Platinums and the tires are excellent. Good handling, quiet ride, definitely worth considering. My ¢.02
