My Service Schedule

My 2008 G35S Sedan recently hit 30k miles, so I have been trying to figure out what services I wanted to do on the car. The process turned out to be a lot more confusing than I thought it would be. The Infiniti Service Guide has the three levels, but I though the Premium Service was too much and Service 2 was too little. My goal is to find a service schedule that keeps the car in great condition, but where I do not spend money on things that do not really need to be done. After looking at the forums, researching the web, and talking to various mechanics, I discovered there are a lot of different opinions. Eventually, I did come up with a schedule that I think strikes the right balance (at least for me). Since I did not find something like this on the forums, I thought I would share my maintenance schedule. I have uploaded the Excel spreadsheet for people to use/edit (in a zip file since Excel files are not supported on the site; note, it is in Office 2007, so older editions may not display it properly). I also uploaded a pdf version for those who do not have Excel.

I know there are going to be people that disagree with the intervals I selected; some saying it is too little and some saying it too much. I would like to hear feedback from people and maybe I can update the spreadsheet. Also, people can download the Excel version and use it as a starting point for their own schedules. Hopefully, this will be useful.

At 30k, I did the following maintenance on my 08 sedan:

- Oil/filter Change
- Cleaned my aftermarket intake (Replace if using OEM filters)
- Replaced my in-cabin filter
- Drain/Fill Tranny Fluid
- Drain/Fill Brake Fluid
- Drain/Fill Diff Fluid
- Top off other fluids

That is exactly what I just had done. It cost me about $400 at a local mechanic.

Remember, brake fluid is more a function of time than mileage. You could put zero miles on your car and still need to change the brake fluid if it's been long enough.
