235/50/17 will be better, it's only 1.8% difference in diameter from the stock size. The 225/50s will be over 3% difference which can create VDC & ABS problems and your speedo will be off quite a bit.

Even at 1.8% difference, you'll probably notice the VDC is a little bit more sensitive; triggering earlier and more easily. Not any big deal, but probably noticeable. If you want to keep it absolutely as close as possible, you can also consider a set of 245/50-17 which will keep the deviation to about -0.4% (same amount as the difference in factory staggered wheel sets). Of course, obviously you can go with same size tires on all four wheels too, but that's seems excessive.
