Need to Find Cup Holder Insert For '08 G35xS

I didn't know we were missing this piece until a couple days after we bought the car and our drinks kept on sliding around and driving my wife and I crazy. I personally think the Infiniti dealership that sold us the car should get us a new one but they seem to think that since the car was bought, paid for, and has left their lot, they're not responsible for it. I have heard these inserts are scarce and you cannot buy the insert itself. I need one bad. Any ideas?

If you get a loaner when you take your car in for service, do a quick switcheroo. They'll never notice.

Just joking.

OK, not really joking.

I checked with Phil and, just as I thought, he can't get just the insert itself. So, I'm looking for one if anybody knows where there is one for sale.

Seems your only options are

- Ebay
- Local Junk Yard
- Hope Someone on here sells in the Classified/Market section

I'm wondering if I have this insert on mine since I bought it used. Are you talking about the triangular little flip-down piece?? Or is there something else in there?

I've found that the spring mechanism to keep the triangle piece down is pretty sensetive so it flips back up pretty easily and I have to keep mind of my cup sliding

I know I'm talking about the front one. I assume the OP too since he said he and the wife had drinks sliding around. I know I would never be riding in the back seat of my car!!

My interior is black but all I need out of that is the actual insert and not the whole cup holder so it's a bit expensive for what I need. I really don't understand why Infiniti doesn't sell the insert separate.

Do you drive a 6MT? The only people commenting have autos and their cars dont have inserts...

To make things clear!! This is the cup holder for an automatic!! It's different than a Manual!

And this is the insert!

Thanks salvador312. I do have an auto trans and there definitely is an insert that is supposed to be in there.
