I'm still trying to find out who makes an aftermarket Y or X-pipe for the G35X's. It's kind of a deal breaker for me. Does anyone know?

I'd assume probably Megan Racing. I have a Megan Y-pipe and it fits my G37xS. Aren't the Y-pipes between the G35's and G37's the same?

Thanks. I'll check em out. Also, is it safe to ASSume that the Y-Pipes between the AWD and RWD G cars are different?

I believe they're different because the Y-pipe for AWD (like mine) is a bit wider since it has to clear the transfer case from the AWD system.

OK..That's what I thought.

So is there a company out there that does make an aftermarket Y or X pipe for the AWD cars? I couldn't find anything on Megan's site.

Lew, I've done a fair amount of research regarding the Y pipes and from what I've read changing out the Y pipe has a pretty minimal effect on the overall exhaust performance. I thought having the larger pipes from the cats back would net some substantial gains but it appears the factory Y pipe, although smaller, does a pretty good job w/ flow. I wouldn't let that be the deal breaker unless you have another reason for wanting to change it out.

Thanks for the info. I wanted to run a full 2.5" cat back to allow the exhaust to flow better. If the consensus is that the factory Y-Pipe is free flowing, then I guess I could just do HFC and this Top Speed exhaust. Whenever it is available..

When I paired the Y-pipe with Tanabe there was no change as far as sound went. Just thought I'd put that out there as well.

Here's a sound clip w/ my old 07 G35 that I sold to a friend and it's stock and my 09G37 w/ the TopSpeed. The sound breaks up a bit (crappy Netbook cam) but you get the idea.

I just missed the group buy on MyG37 but I still ordered one on monday. When I called they said after the big group buy and my purchase they still had 5 left in stock. This was on monday so things may have changed due to the high demand/many left out of the group buy. It wouldn't hurt to call them and check. I read on the forum that they were out of stock but I called to make sure and now my exhaust arrives this afternoon. Good luck!

Oh wow didnt know we can do that. Thought there was a waiting list so it will be fair to those who are waiting to get first dibs on those 5 extra that they have from the group buy.

I'll try to get some pics on but I've had some trouble uploading them in the past. It fails the upload every time for some reason. And with tax and all I got it shipped to my house for $520. Installation friday!

I don't think they were holding them for wait listers because I went ahead and payed in full instead of the $200 discount the group buy got. It was shipped and delivered to my house in a day and a half.
