RWD > AWD oem rear sway

yesterday i swapped my oem X rear sway bar with one from a RWD sedan and omg its such a big difference! definitely a cheap mod for around $70, something worth looking into for X people if $300 aftermarket sways are too expensive for you...
my X now feels planted around turns and it is now very easy to break rear wheel traction in RWD mode...

as you can see the RWD bar is almost twice as thick, and quite a lot heavier too...

props to bluedevils95 for sellin me the bar lol, btw he still has the front sway bar for sale if anyones interested

i figured while i had my car in the air i may as well lower the front a bit cause it was 2 finger gap in front and none in back, but i didnt realize how low BCs would go lol... i couldnt even get out of the driveway (which is very very flat)...my undertray was around 3mm clearance and i was tucking at least half of my 55 thick tire
(please excuse the dirty)

but i raised it back up so finally it is level

I've been looking into that for my next mod. Seems like a great bang for buck thing to do

Definitely a great bang for your buck!

Install is really easy too, I did have to drop out the straight midpipe of the exhaust though but it probably took no more than 1 hour

OE rear sway swap is definitely the way to go if you have an X.

Dude , your car is sick!! would love to see it from the back with that spoiler!! How hard is it to install a sway bar? is it just bolt on or would the exhaust need to be removed at some parts?

next pick up the sport brakes on the cheap, and get a little better stopping power.. < 300 vs. 1400+ for BBK. I think a forum member is selling them on here

its really easy, i did have to drop out the midpipe, but ive heard people say they can work the sway bar out the side but i found it a lot easier to take out part of the exhaust ... the only part i ordered was bushings for the RWD, everything else is the same (brackets/bolts, etc)

there are a whole bunch of people with aftermarket sways, so just look around and ask people, dont just wait for them to appear in the classifieds

i havent had time or patience to put a switch in, but theres a whole thread on this somewhere... theres a cover in the roof of the passenger footwell right below the glovebox...pop that cover off, and somewhere there on the right middle area there is a plug/harness with about 8 wires coming out of it...unplug that while the car is OFF and the yellow AWD light should be on the dash when you start up. this means you have disengaged the front solenoid clutch, i.e. RWD MODE

I will definitely be looking into picking up one of these when I lower the car. Its crazy to see such a size difference in them.

You should black out the chrome trim around your windows.
