i have an 08 G35 base and i can't seem to get the DRL on, either their out or mine doesn't work any idea how the turn on?

Does your car have DRL's?

I am pretty sure our cars do not have DRL's.

the US spec Gs dont have DRL from factory while the canadian model does, but the DRL DIY is pretty easy but requires time and is posted here and on myg37.com
