how to access rear oem sub?

i should probably have put this in the random little question thread but i figured it probably wouldnt get much attention there...

last year i had an audio shop install a line out converter off my rear sub and run wires. i just hooked up an amp/sub to it and it played for a moment then stopped. but the amp shows it is still running healthy so my guess is the connection came off my oem sub, so now im trying to figure out, do i need to take ou the rear seats and the deck thing behind them or do i go through the trunk? is there a DIY for this maneuver?
thanks

You can access the sub inside the trunk. Remove the trim that runs at the top inside. You'll have access to the connector on the sub. The trim is held on by a couple plastic clips.
