New G Driver

Everyone my name is Kevin I live in Long Island, NY I am fairly new this forum I have been reading postings for about a month now, this is my first post. I have been trying to pick up a clean G for quite a while, I finally picked up a 08 G35x sedan with 31k miles Blk on Blk. I am loving it definately worth the money, I had no idea these things moved the way they do it's a major upgrade for me coming from a 01' Mits. Galant with 124k miles and a suspension ready to drop out lol.

I have just 3 questions..
1) My car didn't come with the navi option, I'd love to have navi is there anyway to get it hooked up to stock screen?
2) My car aswell did not come with a back up camera does anyone know of any good DIY's for this and rougly on costs?
3) I want to get the ipod wire now does that connect into the back of the unit? I saw a Chip and AV hook up in the glove box. I really wish it had the CF drive but beggers can't be chooser!

Mods to do in the future
Tint 35% all around possibly 50% on the windshield i'd go darker but the cops just loved my 1st car (not the galant) which had 20%.
5/16 Plenum spacer
HKS Hi-Power Titanium True Dual
Osiris tune unless I get a tune by Vinny Ten Racing
MREV 2 Manifold

Need suggestions on a good CAI?

Looking forward to hearing from you all!

I am at work right now gotta love the overnights! (Sarcasm) I am going to take some pictures tomorrow I haven't gotten the chance yet. HM I gotta do the research on the spacer then or hopefully someone says otherwise on here... I hope that not be the case because I heard with the 1/2 it sounds ricey but I haven't heard that yet so I do not stand by that statemen as of right now.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

Spacer and MREV2 won't fit your motor, they are only for the first gen Gs and the DE motor. The HR motor has limited bolt on power mods; HFCs, exhaust, intakes, and exhaust are about the only things you can get to boost your power. Obviously Osiris is a great choice to pull them all together but you want that to be your last engine/exhaust mod.

Obviously there is forced induction but that's another conversation all in itself.

Wow damn that's quite upsetting to hear, thanks for the input yeah forced induction is in a whole nother ball park I don't have that kind of money.. I will just have to stick with the simple bolt ons unfortunately I was looking to make quite a siginificant increase in power I guess I will just have to deal with it. I need to look more into this Osiris it seems like people swear by it..

But, just for the record, this was NOT with the HR motor. You've got the 1st gen coupe, correct? Most of the gains you're able to pick up on the older motor have already been incorporated by the manufacturer in the newer motors; there's just not much left on the table.

To the OP: Welcome and congrats on the car. I'm sorry to say it though, if you're really set on factory nav, you might have an easier time of reselling the car and buying one with it already installed. As for camera and ipod, there's aftermarket stuff available.
