2007 Bose Speaker System

Hello y'all... I been searching all day just to find out this for my car...

Basically when I turn up the volume on my bose system one of the speakers seems to make a rattle like noise.. Sounds like the cone may be cracking or something...

It's the speaker on the passenger front.. So I need to figure out where to get a replacement speaker from or is there some after market speaker I could pick up and what is the size of that speaker...

Thanks in advance I tried my best not to make a new thread

I have no current problems with my Bose speakers but would love to know if anyone makes a drop in replacement for them. I can't imagine the dash speaker can last forever--baking in the sun as it does.

From what ic seen the top center dash speaker is basically for the phone, nav and othe rcar sounds and not used to play music so it does not get used much.

As for the front door bose 10" woofers, the issue is that the back base is very thin to allow it to fit in the door which makes direct aftermarket replacement more difficult though not impossible. Im sure someone has done this and will chime in with their experience.

But imo your best bet is to get a used OEM replacement from a junk yard which happen to carry more than expected wrecked Gs nowadays or eBay(like THIS one)!

I have a similar issue on the passenger side door but the noise is from the door panel, not the speaker.

I had a similar issue with my driver side door that i fixed, and it is now happening in my passenger door as well. There is a metal plate that was attached to the back of the door panel, which then gets screwed into a plastic block in the door itself through the hole where the door grab is installed. This plate had been screwed into the door panel side too tightly at the factory, causing the screws to damage the threads in the plastic and come loose over time. You can check this if you pop out the door grab, you will see the plate right away and can see if its loose. There is a DIY on here for removing the door panel which I followed, then then I added some foam tape the the door panel, and re-tightened the screws connecting the metal plate to the door panel after applying some glue to the threads. Problem gone. Also, do not glue the screws connecting the metal plate to the door frame in case the speakers is actually blown and you have to take the door panel off again. Hope that helps.
