Dash trashed by winshield installers, recommendations?

Had my windshield replaced at work today. Go out for lunch and find this. Called the company and they want to repair with adhesive. I think it will look like crap. Recommendations

tell them no, and that they will be replacing the dash. if they tell you no, contact the BBB and a lawyer. your insurance may even be able to help resolve the situation with them.

Was the windshield replaced as an insurance claim? If so then your insurance company will get the company to fix it properly for free.

Triton3.5 07-11-2012 07:18 PM

How did they RUIN this??? unreal!!!! Its there fault! they fix!

LeFrenchy 07-11-2012 07:29 PM

It's the liability of the Windshield company to replace this. No doubt.

mishmosh 07-11-2012 07:38 PM

Yup, the windshield company should be insured. They should replace the damage.

willdogs 07-11-2012 07:41 PM

Demand they replace it or give you money so that you can replace yourself. Get a quote from the dealer and bring to them.

mishmosh 07-11-2012 07:50 PM

Damn, just saw the pic. They REALLY screwed up. You definitely need that replaced.

Mike45 07-11-2012 08:13 PM

Wow thats a clean job ( sarcasm)

EbbAndBlow 07-11-2012 08:40 PM

That is blatant disregard for another persons property. I don't see how a professional could have screwed up so terribly without consulting the owner before leaving a destroyed dashboard behind. What company was this?

kool_yaar 07-11-2012 08:58 PM

^ i too wanna know which company it was?? and like others have said this really is unbelievable butchering by the company and utter disrespect for someones else's property. The should get u a replacement dash, if u used your insurance then they will deal with them.
