from the first gen coupe to second gen? no it's completely different body style. Our G35 sedans are same as G37s with just different front body hardware like bumper, headlights, grille, etc.

The headlights have 6K 35 Watt bulbs and the fogs 3K 35 watt.

Before I did my conversion I've read few conversion threads and people just say you need few things. But in reality there are quite a few things they didn't mention what's required to complete the conversion.

Here is 100% all the conversion necessary parts that you'll need to get this done.

Front Energy Absorber $64.48 part number 62090-1NF1A
Fog light Bazel Left $16.44 part number 62257-1MS2A
Fog light Bazel Right $16.44 part number 62256-1MS2A
Windshield washer tank $119.62 part number 28910-1NF0A
Front Sport Bumper $273.82 part number 62022-1NH0H
Bumper grille Right $39.54 part number 62256-1NH0A
Bumper grille Left $39.54 part number 62257-1NH0A
Front Sport Lip $242.40 part number K6010-1NH1A (they've gone up a lot now)
Front Grille Emblem $28.83 part number 62890-1NF1A
Front Lower Center Grille $95.32 part number 62254-1NH1A
Center Grille Hook Cover $14.79 part number 62256-1NH1A

Used Left Headlight - bought on ebay for $262 shipped
Used Right Headlight - bought on ebay for $275 shipped
Used Front Center Grille - bought on ebay for $65

After Market fog lights $117.60
Morimoto 3K HID fog light Kit $135.15 by Retrofit Sourse. Complete Kit with necessary equipment.

The paint job for front bumper, front center grille-painted black, and fog light bazels/covers painted black was $100. I work in the body shop so of course I got hooked up there lol.

TOTAL = $1905.97

Anyway could have been a lot cheaper but I went an extra step for the HID for the fog lights, and for the sport lip.

All the parts that you bought from the dealer, did you buy with the 20% discount?
Cuz I know a shop here locally wich would be able to oder all those parts for me

yeahh some more then 20% and some less then 20%. If found out later and did some calculations that if you order your parts from www.orderinfinitiparts.com it's basically the same thing. Even cheaper on some parts. Their prices are the cheapest you can find!

I've found that you have to pay attention to what base price dealers are calculating their discount from. I get quotes from local dealers that are all over the map on stuff and when I call them on it, what it turns out to be is that they apparently inflate the "suggested retail" prices. The factory may have suggested what is a good enough price, but your local dealer may think they deserve that and a bit more.

Bottom line: go by the actual cost and NOT the advertised discount percentage.

Are you guys including the rear bumper as well or no? And to answer post #61 from LxV Socal, yes the conversion can be done to the coupes as well. Its a little bit more involved, but its actually been done and posted in these forums or on MyG37.com They put a G37 coupe front end on a G35 coupe. Search, its out there.

New absorber.

headlight wiring. That brown socket is your foglight socket. I spliced it into the new wiring of the new headlights and boom, you got yourself a 100% genuine fog socket! It's actually complicated then what it looks cause they made some changes to those headlight wireing behind those insulations.

my 3K HID foglight kit

painted my grille and fog covers in black.

baked my headlights

painting the housing in black.

And now the final 99% finished product of my major transformation with new WORK wheels =) Still need an emblem! got me a wrong one from a G37 convertable =( WTH!!!

HARDCORE BRO.

i this. makes me want to get a 08 G35.
