08 G35 Sedan wheel spacer install

I am not posting pictures as a DIY as it is pretty straight forward. One tip, scour the mounting surface on the brake to clean it up and remove any debris. I also used red loctite on the install.

I have been eyeballing the car ever since I did the 370Z springs and trimmed my spring perches. Just didn't look quite right - a little froggy!

I went by b2autodesigns in Tampa and Adrian (?) and I took a good look at it with a full tank of gas. The fronts had plenty of room but since I have sport wheels (1/2" wider in the back) not so much in the back. My original thought was 15mm front and 20mm back but we thought that 20mm front and 25mm back would look better.

I bought their spacers - extremely high quality! I bought a set of 20mm and 25mm. I did the passenger side first mounting the 25mm on the back and the 20mm on the front. The front looked great, but the rear stuck out too far. So, I mounted the 25mm on the front left and the 20mm on the reay to do a mounted comparison. Drove the car a little to get everything settled. Pictures say a lot.

The 25mm front and 20mm rear looked a lot better, so I switched the other side. In retrospect, 20mm front and 15mm rear would probably look as good or a little less aggressive. But I am happy so far. Give you an update after the first tank. Here's the rears...

20 in the back looks good , looks like the 25s poke them out a bit. I was told to never use locktite on spacers, wasn't given a reason though

+1 on NOT needing Locktite, and certainly not using the RED !
It's going to take a torch to get them heated up enough to remove and that's probably going to cook the grease in the hub bearings. You wouldn't use Locktite on your regular lugnuts, would you? So why use it on the spacer? You trust your regular lugnuts to stay tight for pretty much the life of the tires (for those of us running staggered), so why all the mistrust if you're running a quality spacer? If you want to double check the proper tension, just do it whenever you either rotate or replace your tires. If they don't stay tight for that duration, then they aren't anything you should have on your car to begin with.

is there any down side running spacers? would it create more stress for the hub bearing?

From what I've read the wider spacers should be used w/ the spacers that include the shorter studs (the spacers that bolt onto your hub) rather than using longer hub studs as these get weaker the w/ length. Also hubcentric rings help to eliminate vibration (as long as they match your wheels hub diameter).
I assume the oem hub setups are pretty strong since these cars commonly run aggressive offset wheels, but not sure about that. Haven't really heard of excessive wheel bearing failure from those w/ aggressive setups.
