6MT Sedan owners, how noisy is your fly wheel when you have your clutch out? Mine sounds like a truck...I've taken it to Infiniti numerous times but they are claiming it's standard operation.

Any thoughts worth sharing?

Mine is pretty quiet. You can hear yours from inside the cabin?

I cant hear anything 99% of the time, when i do hear it its after a long bit of stop-n-go driving but its not loud enough to be heard inside noticeably... but with that said from what iv seen on these forums and youtube it is actually quite normal for the Gs to be noisy with the clutch out on most.

Im not sure why it doesnt happen on all G/Zs but im not complaining!

It is true these cars tend towards that noise, but that's not such a bad thing. It's part of the nature of the raucous beast of the VQ that lurks upstream of the tranny. Those potent, high compression impulses can only be dampened just so much by that dual mass fly. Try and remember that what you're hearing is not damaging anything, and instead just think of it as an affectionate idiosyncrasy; like a tiger's purring.

Beyond that, the quality and condition of the oil, as well as the overall temperature, can influence the severity of tranny noise.

This describes mine as well. And when I can hear it (e.g. at a drive-thru) it's not very loud.

Yup. The drive through window is where it seems the worst.
