The damned stealership charges like 24 a piece... do u guys have any recommendations on places that sells them for cheaper? Even in bulk?

I regularly change mine, and its amazing to me how much of a big difference it makes in acceleration, and even shifting responses.... only thing is the cost isn't so cheap.

Just go to Autozone or Oreilly's if you have one near you or try their online stores. I got a set of replacements for I think 12-15 a piece.

OEM or aftermarket?

They are all direct replacements. But I am not sure which brand Infiniti/Nissan uses for their OEM air filters. Either way, any of the replacements at those stores are equal to or better than the ones Infiniti/Nissan use. I purchased the brand WIX from O'Reilly for its price and the reviews I've read online.

Back in the day before i even put after market stuff on my car i would stick a powerful vacuum cleaner to it to make it clean again. Saves money right there. LOL

There's a dealership that sells them on ebay for 14 bucks plus 6 for shipping. If you buy a half dozen, they still only charge 6 for shipping so it's a little better that way. I used to always buy them online from various sources in bulk at around 10 bucks each, but in the last few years, they have gone up everywhere so that you can barely find them under 15. Because of that, I also switched to WIX brand and find them to be every bit as good if not better that the factory filters. Wix is definitely a top quality brand, there's no compromise there.

I use the fine tip air nozzle hooked to my air compressor and blow out the filters every oil change. The OEM filters work as new for 40k miles (or more).
Now the cabin filters are another story, I change them every 12k, can't fight the funk

You know they say that you're never supposed to do that. Apparently, compressed air can tear the filter media, allowing more dirt in.

Think about it; your car deserves new filters!

You might be blowing off the visible dirt, but you are forcing the smaller particles into the fibers and clogging up your filters further with compressed air. Filters really aren't that expensive

I didn't say I never replace the filters but I get double the life doing that, and haven't torn any filter media, I don't have the compressor cranked up over 80psi.I just purchased new oem filters last month BTW (since I just nailed 40k)


I shoot the air opposite of the filters' airflow, then just shoot the loosened debris off the filter, not into the filter core. I've done this for 20 years and filters always perform well IME.

I use rockauto.com and use Wix oil and air filters. Just ordered again this morning. The oil filters went up to $8.00 but the air are around $6.00/piece.

Yep, that's been a bit irritating. Wix changed the recommendation for our cars from one part number to another part number (51365 --> 51358) and they do cost more. The old number (at $5.59 ea.) will still work of course, but if anything happened, you'd undoubtedly be screwed for not running the recommended filter.

Wix is kinda tricky to find... don't think there's any oreilly autoparts in NY...

I guess its off to eBay!

I'm gonna call these guys tomorrow, cause this deal seems way too good to be true...

That number is for the air filter. The part number from above were for their oil filters.
