Spark plug shortage??

I've been trying to find some spark plugs for a decent price and many websites either dont carry them or have ran down to a quantity of less than 6. Anyone got any websites they go to for their spark plugs? I'm just looking for the OEM ones.

ebay or Amazon would be your best bet.

or if you want OEM

No point in paying for plugs in OEM boxes as they are just NGK's on the inside. The Iridiums are better than the OEM plugs and less expensive. The first link Blue Dream posted is pretty close to as cheap as you can get them, and they have 12 on hand so id say go for it. You'll end up spending 8.50 a plug at a local parts store (~50 bucks compared to 40 on ebay).

Yep, the '07 coupe still had the older motor. Just the 2nd gen sedans got the 3.5L HR motor. By the time the G37 coupe came out, they put the 3.7L VHR motor in it.

Yeah, I went and picked up some NGK #1406 ( DILKAR7B-11 ). Total came out to $102 (no tax, Oregon hehe). But damn they were expensive. I wanted to spend around 70-80 for OEM densos but I just gave in and called the local autozone to get me some. My car really needs spark plugs pretty bad so hopefully this will put some life back into her. At 110,xxx miles now. Thanks for the information though guys!!

Glad you got your plugs ok.

For anyone reading reading this later, there are at least three listings for sets of the Denso plugs available on ebay for right around $72 shipped. You just have to look for sets of six and not individual plugs. They are apparently also often available with a discount code at Advance Auto for a great price.

Nice info. Thanks! I have a couple old plug sockets and tools, need to make sure they fit on these before diving into this. Am due for a plug change fairly soon. Are these tool sizes hard to come by? (i.e. Autozone has them, perhaps?)

Speaking of Autozone, for anyone wanting to shop tomorrow, here's a 20% coupon.

Hey Mike, I'm pretty sure you can get by with just a 14mm deep well socket, but it won't grip the plug tip during removal and reinsertion. In the past, I've just used a short section of vacuum hose stretched over the tip of the plug to grip it while I lowered it into the hole, then twisting the hose by hand, you can get the threads started. After that, switch to the 14mm socket and you should be good to go. Of course, you can also buy an actual tool if you prefer:
