Water Got Into Tail Light

I have a question...

It has been raining a lot lately and I noticed today while closing my trunk that the tail light has water in it. There is water on the tail light part on the trunk only. The tail lights on the actual car body are not affected.

Is this normal? How did it get in there and how can I remove it?

Thanks!

definitely not normal. I have no clue how it got in, my guess is that it got in from behind the housing where the lights are attached to the housing. I don't see how it can from any other location unless it has a crack or something.

I opened my trunk this morning and saw water leaking from the edge of it.

I wonder how this affects the reverse (white lights) lights? Anyone have a safe way of trying it? I don't have another person handy to put it in reverse and hold the brake.

Not normal. I had this problem on a 1972/3 Triumph TR6, drilled a very small hole at the bottom of the light, end of problems!

The water is outside of the housing. The water sits in a spot where it doesnt go down. It only goes out when you raise the trunk. again, it sits between the housing and the trunk's surface. It's normal. Mines does this too.
