Lug nut options for OEM rims?
Lug nut options for OEM rims?
I have stock sport rims on my 08 G35s. A lot of my lugs are junk from tire shop air wrenches. I want to replace some/all of my lugs. Called my local dealer and he said $8 each. $130 + tax for 16 (the 4 stock lock lugs are fine). And he only has 3 in stock. Do I have any options, or am I stuck using the stock lug nuts ? I know they are 12x1.25 but there were not any that looked like what I have at the local parts store. Mine have a lip with a washer. They had some in a 12x1.50 for Toyotas but none in 12x1.25. Can I use a different type of lug. Acorn, tuner, mag etc.? Thx.
If it were me, I'd just look on ebay or in the classifieds for some used stock OEM lugs; best quality and value IMHO. They should also be way cheaper than the prices you were quoted.
Here's a good example (if they're indeed real): http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nissan-Infin...item3cbbe9efbb
also, some additional reading for you (and please note the embeddded links within it): https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...-nut-hell.html
BTW: DO NOT USE ANYTHING BUT MAG TYPE LUGS ON YOUR WHEELS!
