I just joined the forums with my new car in tow!!!! beautiful 07 G35S 6MT. 71k miles CPO with stillen intake, and exhaust and every option i know of! now i have nooooo idea what exhaust it has but it does sound great. still wanna find out what it is but idk how . any ideas?

 

Welcome! As far as the exhaust is concerned if the tips or muffler do not have a logo or some sort if identifying marks on them your best bet is to get under it and see if there are any elsewhere. (I am assuming you are 100% certain it is not stock...)

If not, you should be able to see if it looks like it was custom made or maybe it is a replica of a popular exhaust. Almost every aftermarket exhaust system out there is stainless and mandrel bent, so crush bent aluminized steel piping would be a dead giveaway if a exhaust shop custom made it. (most muffler shops use crush bends)

Worst case is you never end up knowing, but love the way it sounds as you stated. I'm not too sure on the newer G's, especially sedans. Here are some pics of the different bends along with typical aluminized exhaust piping for reference. Hope it helps, good luck and again welcome!

 

thanks for the welcome! and i did think to look at it but i havent had the chance. plus, no jack stands or ramps. so i might just have to jack up one side then and see how far i get lol thanks a bunch for the help though!

 

welcome! now as for the exhaust, since it has stillen intake it could be a stillen exhaust that should have a logo on the tips... just take a pic of the tips and we should be able to identify it as long as its not a custom exhaust

 

Did you find out what exhaust it is yet?
