CD player not working

I have an 07 with the premium pkg...nav, 6 disc, Bose.

Today I was listening to an mp3 cd and everything was working fine. I pushed the volume button to turn the unit off and when I went and turned it on the CD player did not read the disc and after a minute or so I got a disc read error.

I've tried several different non scratched CDs. Originals, burned CDs and another mp3 disc.

I also turned the car off/on.

Any suggestions

Thanks

I thought there were some diags you could run from the car console on the audio system, but I could be wrong. One thing though, you may want to post this thread (or ask a mod to move it) here: https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-aud...ectronics-375/
, as it will get much more attention from those more familiar with your problem. It is also not a bad place for you to search around for similar experiences.

I used to get the same problem consistently whenever I used a rewriteable. I stopped using those and the problem stopped. The way I got it working again was putting in a genuine retail audio cd. It may take a few tries but hopefully the focus will return to normal (if that is even the problem). Good luck.
