2013 GPS Map Update $99 (Limitied Time)

http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT...rce=INF-NAVCOM

Don't forget you have to pay the dealer to install (2007-2010 Models) ~ $50-$80 depending where you go.

My maps have never been updated. The issue I have is that in addition to buying the upgrade, I also have to pay the dealership to do the install. They want to charge an hour of labor ($130).

I've been wondering if it's even worth it to upgrade. Are there significant updates that I'm missing? Your thoughts on this?

I always use my Smartphone which in my opinion works much better than the Navi. The Navi now for me is more or less for looks lol!

In my opinion its not worth to get every year. I did the 2012 update and will wait till 2014 or 2015 for the next one (If I still have the car lol)

Its good for any new roads or POI's added over the years.

Also $130 is nuts! Find another Infiniti dealer, each one's prices are different. Here in NYC I was able to get it done for $75.

The updated roads and POI's would be nice. The Navi does not show any street names or roads once I turn into my neighborhood. It would be nice to have these.

If I could get this done for $75 or so I'd probably consider it, but yeah $130 is nuts! Makes me wish the Navi system was CD based.

Thanks will, but . . . WOW, just makes me so glad I didn't pay that extra $2100 for the priviledge of having to put up with all this.

Hmm wow, it sounds like a good deal considering mine is still running 06-07 map software. I have to call up the dealers to see how much they'll charge for the labour to upgrade. As many have mentioned, not worth it if they charge an hour labour for this. Anyone have a clue what they charge up here in the North?

My experience with the G navigation is that I will never get a car with navigation again unless it is some google branded navigation. My cell phone google navigation sooooooo out-classes my G navigation and my 5 year old Garmin Nuvi portable unit. Not even close. On the G, I really got navigation in the 1st place for the CF card reader and the HD music box. Then I learn that you can't just transfer mp3s to the music box...they must be ripped from audio cd. What a scam!

It was originally a $2100 option, and the last time I checked the blue book on my car, it made about $300 difference in the resale value if I had it or not.

My experience was the same with a previous car (BMW), so I passed on it with the G and I haven't regretted it once. IMHO, it is one of the most overpriced options there is.

Just a heads up for anyone in BC, the dealer charges $65 for labour to do the upgrade in addition to the $99 code.

I'd say for the price, it's pretty worth it.
