Door lock mechanism issue
Door lock mechanism issue
Hey guys,
So i know the title may be kind of confusing so let me explain... I just finished washing my car and went to dry all of the door jams. I get to the rear passenger door and it does not open. The handle itself pulls out a tad further than the driver rear door. I tried locking it from my key and manually from the inside and it seems as if the locking mechanism disengaged from the handle or something.
I did a quick search and could not find much, although i may be searching the wrong thing. If anyone has any insight let me know.
Been a crazy few weeks with the g, struts are on their last leg (purchased KYB excel g and swift springs) and the other day i had the sunroof motor disengage. Its almost like infiniti sets a self destruct once you are out of warranty, lol.
Well, again, if anyone has some insight it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Before tearing apart your car, I think I'd try having a locksmith (or maybe even AAA) just try opening it with a slim-jim tool. It may still be possible for them to grab the actual mechanism and open it, even though the handles aren't catching anymore.
I'm pretty darn sure I've read about similar issues on the forum though, so you might want to search a bit more and see what has worked for others. Good luck!
