2009 door pull okay on 2008? Also, anyone use the Altima's?

The rubberish door pull (the part where the window controls stick out of and there is a hole to keep change in) was replaced under warranty and again looks like #%#$%#$, but the warranty is out. I believe this was changed to a harder, more durable material in 2009.

Does anyone know if the 2009 fits the 2008 and whether you can give a Nissan version?

Infiniti's is $120, Nissan's is $25. It is the same part number except last digits which is the color.

Thanks!!!!!

Just to help, you do realize you can order it online from an Infiniti parts retailer (usually a dealer) for only $35 each side, which is exactly what I did. BTW ordered it for the 07-08 MY.

It had a manufacture date of this year, and the material is much much more durable. Feels very similar but it isn't as prone to chipping anymore.

Yes, the 2009 part will fit, but Infiniti was aware that the 07-early 08 surrounds were defective, and is making the old part with better materials. Fwiw, the 10+ surrounds are different, and won't fit. The entire door panel was redesigned slightly with the facelift.

I'm pretty sure they changed it in 2009 (the rounded ends) if you look at any classifieds for the 09 models. It was also the MY they changed the seat heater controls.

My pulls were replaced around 2011 and they were junk too. Are you sure the 2009 fit because I would much rather have that hard plastic than anything remotely resembling what I have now?

Also, is there a link to a good guide for replacing them yourself?

Thanks!

I was pretty sure, but someone posted above that they changed in 2009. I would double check this. I just did some searching, and the 2009 panels do have the bose logo on the speakers, where our 07-08s didn't, so it's definitely possible the 09s have the entirely new panels.

FWIW, I have an 08 / had stone door panels. I changed my entire door panels to 2012 all-black ones, so I can tell you that the entire new door panels fit, should you find a deal on those.

For changing just the window switch surrounds, you don't need a diy. The easiest way I found to do it was to take a narrow, blunt tool (think a metal nail file or such, which has a small "hook" and pry up in the bottom corner closest to you. It pops right out with minimum effort. Other than that, the wire harnesses pop right out in a standard way, and the switches also just pop right out of the surrounds.
