Trim Bezel Replacement

Hi guys i know its been discussed about the trim pieces around steering wheel that scratch easily and that we couldnt buy just the trim piece to replace it ourselves. I found someone selling them for $30-$40 on Ebay, here is a link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-IN...ht_4581wt_1163

I just didnt know if it was the same old material that will scratch up again. Def. buying this if its the newer material. Just thought i would share for anyone interested to buy it.

I have that trim,
$9.50 plus shipping
I'd have to check VIN number to make sure it's the right one, but pretty sure it'd be like 25$ or less

Yeah I saw this myself and had the exact question. Phi can you verify if what you're selling is made of the same old material or is it different? Would definately be interested in buying if different.

WOW, that's an amazing price for an Infiniti part. Are you sure that's not a typo Phil?

Is this an easy install or does it involve removing the steering wheel?

good question, I don't see any new part number, it's the same number,
it's from what I can tell, OEM trim pieces like on the steering column, but perhaps Nissan thinks it's so cheap, that it doesn't need to be changed?

I wonder if this is because they are changing the trim, and the rear steering wheel trim,
and bolts, plus labor to do it....

I've yet to see any dealer sell the trim piece without a whole new steering wheel. I gave up and wrapped mine in a flat black vinyl.. which is now bubbling a little bit in a couple of spots and I may be looking to replace/redo.

Are you able to get the door trim as well by chance?

Certain models don't allow it to be sold seperately, that's why I added PM me your VIN number and I'd see if it can be gotten,
what door trim are you referring to? I can get anything OEM that Nissan/Infiniti still offers

Thanks!

Phil

There are DIY threads (with pics) on this forum, you just need to look for them. Search is your friend.

www.orderinfinitiparts.com got the part for me - less than $10 plus shipping. OC Infiniti did also, but it's interesting that they are now charging a premium on ebay.

See the other thread for part numbers and a few more details:
