ECU tuning question.

Currently, I have a 07 G35x with Eibach lowering kit, upgraded G37S rear sway bar, R2C intake, and Flowmaster X-pipe (custom with stock muffler)

I know... stock muffler? well I like the sound of the stock muffler but adding X-pipe made it deeper VQ sound that we love and know.

anyways, I am planning on getting a new set of tires and alignment as well. I am wondering if getting a ECU tuning will benefit my car... I have about 80k miles on it. and still drives like a new car.

Do you guys think that ECU tuning might be waste of money? if not, how much performance can I gain from it?

Does someone even offer an ECU tuning for the G? I have had 2 ECU's tuned in the past; one being an Audi Allroad (done by APR) and the other a Nissan 300ZX Twin (Stillen) but both were turbos and gained a substantial amount of HP. Not sure what we could gain on a normally aspirated motor other than change the shift points.

From what I found there are a few . Hypertech, UpRev and I think EcuTek . It seems out of all 3 the best option would be UpRev (from what I've found from researching) . As far as gains go everyone on the forum recommends full bolt ons to get the most from the tune . I have stillen gen 3 intakes and stillen exhaust I am currently waiting on my FI HFC's to complete my setup after that I will be going with the uprev tune . Oh and I have purchased a grounding kit that one of the forum members makes and I will be installing that this weekend.

Oh and to add. Gains will not be anywhere near as with having a turbo or such but it will change shift points, rev limiter , raise speed limiter. and pretty much make your ride more responsive. IMO its worth it
as I have also had tunes on past cars .

Yes you can tune the ECU and yes it will benefit you, regardless of mods. OP for your situation expect to gain 10-15 whp.

Uprev makes the software and you can either get it done locally on a dynoby an Uprev protuner or over email with datalogs and a reflash cable yourself.

How much does it usually cost to get the tuning done?
Oh and I've installed grounding kit as well. Best cheap mod ever gotten. The shifting is noticeably faster and smoother. And throttle response is good

$500 if you do it yourself with the cable and datalogs, anywhere from $600-800 for a dyno tune (but you don't get the cable)
