Hello all,

I am looking for easy bolt on mods that will increase HP/TQ for my G35. I have minimal experience with car maintenance so explanations would help.

It comes stock with 300+. get an intake and exhaust system and then get a pro tune. If you really want to go big and have cash just supercharge it with low boost. I have no idea what u would use that extra power fir but it's your car, have fun with it.

I did some searches in here and thought I gathered what I needed until I saw one comment about the newer G35s are not compatible with the 5/16 spacers I've read about, I wanted more clarification on my specific year.
Also are the stock intakes on the 08 still efficient enough to just do drop in filters?

Chinky I got no clue what that means. Are you suggesting the 2008 G35 does not have 300hp?

From what I've read on here, drop in air filters, exhaust, and a chip won't add too much more power at all. Less than 50hp is my understanding.

Drop in air filter is just more efficient and won't change your "sound" The exhaust will be your big factor here. Check out motordyne ART pipes to pair with it-I'm not sure if they're available for you or not-I think they are iirc. Our motors don't see huge power increases from a lot of bolt ons. I wouldn't go down the chip route either. A tune is much safer and effective. 99% of people here would agree that a tune once your done with your bolt ons is a great way to tie everything together nicely.

Thank you for the advice Jersey.
Are there and G35 specific websites that you would recommend for after market parts?

This isn't the type of car that responds really well to performance mods. Infiniti did their homework on this car. This is coming from someone that has a highly modded Lightning as my weekend toy with more mods than I care to remember. Everytime I mod the G and go back to stock later, I usually think about what a waste of money that mod was!

To me, add a few visual mods to add distinction to your G, call it a day and enjoy your reliable daily driver!

Yup Infiniti has already squeezed out about as much power as they could from the 3.5 engine. That's one reason they went to 3.7. Go with forced induction like a super charger or turbos then better intake and exhaust will make more sense.

Personally, I don't think there are any bolt-on power adders that are worth it. You do so for the sound or because you like to mod. I think my favorite mod that I would do again is Eibach drop with Koni shocks.
