Looking for good remote starter.

Hi,

I am looking for a good remote starter kit which has a wide range of 150ft or more. If it could be programmed into Infiniti key fob or has an app on android smart phone, that would be my pick.

Also, if you know any reputable shop in Minnesota that installs remote starter on G35, please let me know.

Thanks,

Only one that is smart phone startable is Viper Smart Start. Costs about 100-120 a year for the service.

And this works with your phones 3G connection, meaning you can check if the car is unlocked, locked, sound the alarm, and start it across the globe...

I searched online and found 2 big names for remote starter that is working on mobile. They are Viper Smart Start and Direct Smart Start. Which one works better on G35?

I don't want to pay annual fee for smart phone remote start plan. Any remote starter that can be programmed to our existing key fob? I don't want to carry Infiniti key fob and the remote starter key fob together.

Directed (DEI) owns Viper, Python, Clifford, and more. They are all the same, just different packaging.

Just get an alarm/remote starter and ditch the Infiniti keyfob. Or buy one of DEIs OEM remote starters and it will work with your OEM keyfob.

Go on Yelp and look for car alarm/stereo installations in your area. Find one with good reviews and call them. Each installer has a prefrence of products. Ask they what they carry that fits your needs.

They won't put them on a manual car, but a bypass can be installed that allows the car to be auto started.

I have autostart/remote start on my 6MT. Rarely use it since I usually leave my car in gear. Plus I feel like a douche using remote start for some reason.

I found 2 local shops that install remote starter but they only offer CompuStar products. How do CompuStar compare to Directed products (like Viper)?
