Honestly, no. Not until the last oil change. It was the only time it has gotten so low. It's too soon to tell this time around but I don't think I have to worry about it as long as I change the oil every 10k or so. Unless oil consumption does damage in some other part of the car somehow.

I am aware low oil level can damage the engine which is why I said "if it does damage to some other part of the car" because engine damage is kind of a given lol.

I try to check it every 5k... although I didn't check at all last oil change and the oil happened to be low... lol. Like I said, it was the first time the oil level was so low and I do neglect some routine maintenance... but the car has held up beautifully for 200k miles against my neglect and abuse.

How often do you change the transmission fluid?

That's a lot of miles!

For the people that replaced the engine (and transmission), what was the reason for it? I was expecting the drivetrain to last well past 200k miles ... (ok, maybe not the way a lot of us are driving it .. but still .. )

Nice.
Looks like VQ still got it.

I know older VQ's that nissan put in Maximas were pretty reliable. Could easily handle upwards of 200k.
Friend of mine sold him maxima with 290k if I remember correctly.
I want to see 300k out of mine before any major repairs.

My dad was the previous owner, he was going through a nasty divorce and he was driving the ***** off the car for a while. That's our best guess is hard driving (although, honestly, I would expect a well maintained and stock engine/tranny to hold up at only 87k miles).

with that many miles I think I would probably be changing my oil more frequently than every 20k. lets see some exterior pics!

How is your radiator holding up? I've been so paranoid now bcoz of what happened to my old g35 coupe. The plastic top of the radiator cracked and the car over heat on me 82k. Now I'm hoping our 2nd gen radiator will hold up on me.

Congrats on the 200k milestone, nice!
BTW, I've got (4) 5qt. jugs of Pennzoil Platinum drain oil w/ only 7k miles on each jug, could get you another 52k miles down the road for nothing

Nice! Doesn't sound like you've had any major problems along the way.
I can no longer open the rear drivers side door on my 08 with 41K miles. Just happened yesterday.

If you live in the cold weather, then you have to wait until the weather warms up. The door locks are most likely frozen shut.
