Adding Supercharger to 2008 G35X Type S - Automatic

Hello Peeps, I am new to the forums. I have a question, if i wanted to add a supercharger to my 2008 Infiniti G35x Type S would i need to replace any other parts on my motor (Stock 3.5)? Is there a supercharger i can purchase that will work just fine with the stock motor? Only thing i have done to it at this time is adding Injen Intakes. Let me know please.

What does "just fine" mean?

I think he means without rebuilding the bottom end and replacing the pistons with 8.5 or 9:1.

Yes there is, Vortech/Stillen, but you still must get a tune to make it safe.

Yeah I am on a stock motor and I have the stillen supercharger. Don't waist your money on the intakes since they will take it off. I think I have a pix on instant gram you can check it out

On the VQ37s Stillen has now gone with Vortech anyway.

+ installation

I guess there should be a "safe tune" for stock engine internal.

The tune will be very safe but maybe you can ask them not to make the tune so rich.

Does the XS has the bigger brake as the RWD S?

And I wonder how well would be stock drivetrain handle the additional power?

The XS does not have the larger sport brakes

500? maybe, if you don't beat on it. But from what I have read here, a stock block should never go over 400 for reliability. That's just opinion and there are many here that say that's not true, but if you are doing this to a daily driver, don't go wild.

Ehh, I doubt it has nearly as much to do with HP than it does with the torque you're putting down. If you're putting down 350 ft.lbs of torque, but holding it clear up into higher rpms, then you can be making and getting away with big HP numbers just fine, but if you were to try and put down 500ft.lbs at 4K rpms, regardless of HP numbers, you'd eat your chassis alive. Of course all this means squat if you don't have a decent tune; heck, you can toast your car at just 300 whp with a crappy tune.

I have 600hp with nothing but a k&n and a magnaflow muffler and I've never toasted my motor. I have a supercharged 7sp tranny tho, so a tune doesn't matter as long as I lube the bearings on my hubspacer lugs. Know what I mean?
