2007 G35X - Ride not feeling smooth anymore
2007 G35X - Ride not feeling smooth anymore
I recently had a flat on the driver side rear tire and didn't realize it and drove on it for about 50 feet. Took it to the shop and they told me that I had slashed up the tire and had to replace it.
I took a trip home, about 400 miles, the next day and after a day or so noticed that another one of my tires was delated quite a bit, although not down to the rim, filled it back up and noticed the next day it was deflated again, not quite as much as before but down to about 20 PSI. So, I figured it must have a small leak and filled it up with the Fix a Flat sealer and it seemed to hold. Drove back about 600 miles and although the ride felt a bit bumpy I made it back without too many issues. I took it back in to the shop and they said that I must have put some slits in to the tire that was fully deflated and that I need to replace it as well.
Now I also had all four tires balanced although now I have 2 brand new tires and 2 tires that have about 5,000 miles left on them.
Now this might be a question that might be easy to answer but ever since the 2nd tire replacement, the ride feels a bit rough. Almost as if I can feel the road a bit more. There's still a tiny bumpiness to the ride but nowhere close to before. Could be due to the difference in tread between the 2 new tires and the 2 old? Or could it be that the balancing wasn't done right? or is it possible I have a bent rim?
Now all this kind of doesn't matter as I upgraded to a 2012 M37X and am trading this car in about 2 days but I'd still like to understand what could be going on so I can look for these issues in the future.
Thanks in advance for all your help!

It could be a number of things that you haven't filled us in on:
Are all of the tires the same brand/series/model/size?
If not, do they all have the same treadwear rating?
Are they all running the same PSI?
What position are the two new tires in? (Back, front, both on one side?)

I am going to check the PSI today but I figured they should be since the tire shop rotated all the tires and I just assumed they must have evened out the PSI in all tires but I guess I shouldn't assume that.
The two new tires on the front and the older ones on the back.
